Grief and Loss
“Grief and love are sisters, woven together from the beginning. Their kinship reminds us that there is no love that does not contain loss and no loss that is not a reminder of the love we carry for what we once held close.”
—Francis Weller, The Wild Edge of Sorrow

Grief and loss are part of the human experience, but that does not make them any easier to go through. Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, a pet, a relationship, a dream, a job, a part of your identity, or something else, the impact and ripple effect can be substantial. Grief can take a toll on your physical and mental health, showing up in ways you may not expect or understand. Due to the deeply personal nature of grief, it can be helpful to have compassionate, steady support as you navigate this unpredictable terrain.
In therapy, we can work together to express and honor your emotions, reflect on what you have lost, dedicate time for meaning making, and find accessible ways to tend to your mind and body along the way. Grief isn’t something we can “fix,” but we can learn a great deal by apprenticing to grief and making space for its wisdom.
